The City of St. Louis announced today that if citizens have storm debris that needs to be picked up they can call the Forestry Hotline at 314- 613-7200. The hotline will be staffed from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. through December 15, including this weekend, to take calls. Crews will respond to these special requests over the next three weeks.
Citizens may also take their storm debris to the City Compost site at Hall Street & Terminal Row. Drop-off will be free through December 29. Hours of operation are from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. They will be closed on Christmas Day. Proof of residency is required.
The Refuse Division will continue weekly yard waste pickup for an additional two weeks through December 22, in an effort to help with the additional fallen limbs. Yard waste service will then go to the winter schedule which is once a month.
Additionally, if citizens need assistance with their heating bills, they can call the Heat-Up St. Louis Resource Hotline at 314-241-7668. If you qualify, seniors, the disabled and needy households can receive up to $600 to help with their gas, electric, and home heating oil bills.
