Below is the latest news ~
Thursday, September 29, 2016: Recently, the Southwest Garden Neighborhood Association learned that on the 5500 block of Magnolia, several cars and homes were burglarized. We are very concerned and would like to help residents organize a neighborhood watch group on their block. As you all know, our streets will be safer when neighbors look out for each other and feel part of a strong community.
As a first step, we have invited Ms. Dee Brown, Coordinator of the St. Louis Safety Group, to come speak with us about the Neighborhood Ownership Model (NOM) and how to sign up for the Citizens On Patrol training. Together, we will learn how to observe and report suspicious activities. Dee will conclude with a discussion of other training programs, such as Court Advocacy and Victim Support training.
Here are details about the presentation from Ms. Dee Brown:
Date: Thursday, September 29, 2016
Time: 7pm to 8:30pm
Location: SWGNA office at 4950 Southwest Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110
Speaker: Dee Brown, Coordinator from St. Louis Safety Group
Topic: Crime prevention: how to start a neighborhood watch group on your block
