Southwest Garden Neighborhood Association, St. Louis MO

What’s Happening in April in the Southwest Garden Neighborhood?!

Hello Neighbors,

Monday, April 24, 2017:  Mark your calendar now as this is the date of our second quarter general membership meeting.  As always, the meeting will be held at the St. Louis Activity Center located at 5602 Arsenal Street and will begin at 7:00 pm.  Due to the success of this event last year, we plan to host our second annual seedling and plant exchange.   Instead of throwing away your extra plantings and seedlings in the yard waste dumpsters, bring them to the general membership meeting to share with others.  Just think, you can walk away with new seedlings and plants without spending a dime! In consideration of your neighbors, please package them in way that is easy to transport.  It’s going to be interesting to see what individuals bring.

Also,  we plan to have elections of Board members and of course our Aldermen reports.  One of our Board members, Amy Choy, will be speaking about our Block Captain and Neighborhood Watch Program.   Thinking of being a block captain?   Come to learn more.  We would love to meet you.    There will be plenty time to socialize with neighbors after the meeting.  Light refreshments will be served.

It’s that time again, the Tower Grove Farmer’s Market  opens it’s 12th season this coming Saturday, April 15th.  The farmer’s market will run from 8: 00 am to 12:30 pm every Saturday until November 11th.  Free QiGong begins at 8:00 am on the lawn, followed by yoga at 9:00 am.

In service and gratitude,

Kristina D. Jackson, M.S.W.

Executive Director
