It is wonderful to have sunny days with blue skies. Welcome spring! Below is what’s happening in and around the neighborhood.
Saturday, May 13th: We are in need of a a few volunteers to help with mulching of trees and plants in Sublette Park. Meet in front of the maintenance building at 9:00 am. We hope to be finished by 11:00 am. Bring a shovel and work gloves if you have them. Many hands do make light work, so the more the merrier!
Saturday, May 13th: Have you heard the news? The Kingshighway bridge is scheduled to open up for traffic this coming Saturday, May 13th at 2:00 pm. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:00 am. Come join us. Refreshments will be served by Don Brown Chevrolet.

Recently at the second quarter general membership meeting Michael Campisi and Christopher Reynhout , owners, spoke about their new business in our neighborhood, ON THE HILL HEALTH MART PHARMACY. They are really excited about the home town look and feel within their store. Reminds me of days gone by. I want to personally applaud for their excellent presentation and more so for their efforts to encourage proper disposal of opioid medications. I don’t know about you, but I have wanted to dispose of old medications for a long while now, but did not know how to do it. Michael and Christopher in partnership with the St. Louis College of Pharmacy have special packets available free for the asking to properly dispose unwanted, unused or expired medication. Please feel free to stop by and ask, if you too, want to get rid of old medication, but don’t want it to end up in the wrong hands!
In service and gratitude,
Kristina D. Jackson, M.S.W.
